safe to drive a 996 turbo in winter ?

The Turbo works great in snow as long as you have snow tires. I live near Tahoe and we average 400 inches of snow annually, at my elevation. The only issue you could run into is clearance.

I drove mine through the winter of 2011. That year our local ski areas received over 800 inches. We got to ski on the 4th of July that year!

Looking at tire rack, are there any recommendations for cheap rims? the BBC CCH-R in an 18 seem like they would be a slick winter wheel.

How do you guys wash your cars in the middle of winter??

I don't

I use menzerna sealant in the fall and just wait. It looks like hell all winter but cleans up fine in the spring.

Really no dif than summer.....touchless and wand washes are open (cept when we have below zero stretches) and have water & drain in the garage.
