I thought mine was plastic too BUT when I took it off, to send to Protomotive to get redone to match my 74TB,, I found mine was Aluminum..I just double checked with magnet..

I have never taken mine off and also thought it was plastic but happy to hear its not as that would be really cheesy imop.

Both the rod and piston are plastic. Here is a picture of one.

I deserve every bit of it. I bet plastic rods are pretty light! Plastic crank is where it's at tho.

Those pistons look larger then stock, and the rods longer then oem.
cant be porsche everyone said bigger then a 3.8 couldn't be done on a turbo car for how long?

I was a little amused when I saw this thread.

The above parts were produced in plastic to check actual assembly tolerances prior to final product production. Rods 129.79 mm pistons 105.7 mm. I see you were following the build OS.
