Hey fellas, Just bought a small 1.5 lb chrome fire extinguisher after seeing my buddy loose his precious Corvette from a fire. Where is the safest and best place to mount before I start drilling into my interior.

Brey Krause makes one for a 2.5lbs that mounts to the passenger side seat mounts in front. I have one with me GT3 seats, probably works for stock seats too.

 

keep in mind you need the fire extinguisher needs to mounted in a place that you can reach while still being belted into the car. if your only concern is an engine fire then the front trunk is as good a place as any.

 

Mounted in front of the drivers seat..in reach...or mounted on roll bar, within reach, if you have one.

 

I have mine mounted just in front of the passenger seat on the floor.

 

If there's an engine fire, I'm not sure I'd want to stop it too early to try to "save" the car haha.

 

I have mine mounted to my roll bar in my 944 track car.

 

I got the one from Rennline and it is simply perfect. Nobody sitting in the passenger is complaining about the space it take and it is really easy and fast to reach...(no affiliation)
