Just want to inform you guys that RUF 590 Nardo has a big brother. You can order RUF 650hp 3.8L to your 996TT now. There is much more work involved to the engine compared to the Nardo engine and in the RUF engine dyno the result was around 700hp don`t now the torque. I will post more information later on.

Wow... this should be very interesting.

If it's 700 on the Ruf dyno... that means it will be amazingly fast. Ruf horsies are bigger than other horses.

 

Yeah and amazingly expensive! Isn't the nardo like $59,000? Can't imagine what this one will cost! But it will be a monster they build wicked fast cars.

RUF 650HP My god that is gotta be like flying MACH2 on the ground compared to my lowly GT2 with only a Fabspeed exhaust but i still love her and would change her for no other car in the world.
But A RUF with that much power that has to be VERY interesting!

Can any of the Ruf Auto Centre guys confirm this?

 

Ruf is using this engine in the RT 12, the website says 650hp/870nm (641 Lbft). If I recall right it´s going to be
10-12 000 $ more expensive then Nardo-package. There
is one 996TT costumer in Germany with this package and
according to RUF he is very pleased.

This is true. We do offer the 3.8L motor as an option for either a new RTurbo, or as a conversion to an existing 996 TT. This is also the motor that will be in the new flagship RT12 arriving at our dealership within a couple of months. Here is some more info on it...
