I can't help to wonder if the Carrera GT seats will work in my turbo.

 

I think those seats will be obscenely expensive. They are made out of real carbon fiber, and I think each seat weighs 30 some odd pounds. Regardless, those seats would look killer in your Turbo.

 

I am hoping to have all the answers real soon.

Regarding weights, the stock sport seats weigh 48 pounds each. The GT3 seats weigh 28 pounds each. Yes, I weighed them.

 

Hey Ken, really? I was under the impression the stock ones with the lumbar and heat were closer to 75 pounds each and that the GT3s were like 18pounds. Hmm certainly heavier than I thought then.

 

cjv, Interesting thought, knowing Porsche these days the CGT seats will also work in a Cayenne and Boxster.

I weighed sport seats which are missing the fore/aft motor and they don't have the lumbar adjustment. They definitely weighed 48 pounds. I can't imagine those extra parts (fore aft motor and lumbar) would add another 27 pounds to bring the total up to 75 pounds.

 

The C-GT seats weigh 22.7 pounds each. The are about seven pounds each lighter than the GT3 seat. That is a savings of over fifteen pounds.

 

I like the idea of "Dieting" to get the aggregate weight of the GT3 seats with driver after diet, equal to the CGT seats with driver prior to diet...
