Go with coilovers, not just lowering springs. The ride is night and day. I would consider Bilstein PSS10 (cheaper) or KW V3.

Which is just the opposite of my experience. Bought my car with 17k on it, maybe 7k of that on H&R coilovers. Terrible ride. Since this car was to be a DD without any track work (other cars for that), I took it to my local Porsche race shop to see what was a good solution. They went back with OEM struts and H&R lowering springs. Couldn't be happier.

Maybe it's just the H&R coilovers. But they were way harsh, as the kids like to say. No experience on Bilsteins on this car, but they've been a good solution on another car I had.

I went cheap (RUF lowering springs only) to lower my '04 996 TT Cab. Ride was way to harsh and bumpy. Changed out to Bilstein PSS10's. Ride is better and so is handling. Not a cheap route but correct route.

Mark,

IMO, this is right on the money...The PSS-10's are more compliant than OEM and transform the handling to a whole new level - it's the one other big mod you should do when the time is right...with exhaust, tune and PSS-10's you'll be set up really well for complete driving enjoyment!

I am immensely pleased with my new KW V3's with PASM cancellation. Perfectly comfy ride, corners on rails, no more squating or diving.
