Agreed,,That is true...Its called the scale...
Some of my sheets even have a correction factor..
Then also on top of that you also have in a complete flow data report> velocity and throat curtain area...
Its sort of like a dyno comparison ....LOL..

Not really interested in more numbers. We have our own data to go off of. But really appreciate the offer!

The pictures we depicted show how we tested the base, and the subsequent show in some detail (not all the detail ) how we will come to our conclusion. This is not the first 996 head we have done, we have been doing them for quite a few years now. This is just the first one we actually took pictures and showed the process because we would like to see more of them here.

In my opinion that I have gained over years of posting on forums is a flow sheet is good for the person doing the work. Because that is the person that has to decipher the info to make sure his/her work is the baddest out there. 99% will look at the sheet as a bunch of numbers, look for the biggest one, and decide if they want to heckle, or rejoice... But even then, that same 99% does not know what that number should or could be. It could even flow to much for a given application! But, you have to be educated in that realm to understand that conundrum.

Unlike a dyno graph that is pretty prevalent and more people know how to decipher it. I think the flow chart is pretty much a mystery to talk about in a general forum. If we start racing flow benches I think this material would have some relevance to everyone, but not now. A dyno or race track is where it shines and brings it to the table of understanding. We have many world records in almost every genre of car.

We look forward to proving ourselves in this genre as well.

Guides are in...valve job is done. Now time to do the combustion chambers and back on the flow bench!

BEFORE:

we use custom valves made for us by Manley Performance that do not a have a margin. We do this so as you can see it will cover the valve job. This provides a smooth transition to the combustion chamber when blending and protects the valve seat from damage from the grinding and sanding.

Do you use stainless or titanium valves? I would think Manley valves are stainless either maybe hollow stem or sodium filled?
Tulip shape or flat nail type?
Just curious...

Eurotoys is infamous around these parts
I know Dave did a great job on those Ferrari V-12 heads we sent him a few years ago for valve guides and porting. Car ran really good!

We are back on the flow bench!!! P

Exhaust port looking spiffy on the flowbench...

We picked up 10-20cfm in the low range, and 30-40cfm in the mid to high range.

We tried a different valve job than our norm for this application, and it did absolutely nothing which was the real basis for the tests.

Will put up finished pics in the next couple of days...
