I have sent my oils to On-Site Analysis in Florida before..
I once sent my Mobil 5W40 with about 9 months and 4500 miles of street driving and lots of dyno pulls to get checked out ..Result oil was still good and they also said to wait another few thousand miles for another check next time..

Guys remember when you do a oil change you are only changing 2/3's the oil in the engine. 12 quarts is what you put in a new built engine, oil change is about 8 quarts maybe 9. Not sure how everyone changes there oil but I pull the filter first then open the fill cap, lift the car dump the case (to make sure the the check valve from the oil tank is holding). Drain turbos then the oil tank. Also I like to suck out the bottom of the filter housing as that is the stuff that the oil filter caught but it drain off when you removed the filter.
