About the Chipswitch (quoted from his website):
Now released is the GIAC IBE Chipswitch technology. Chipswitch will allow you to move between 3 programs on your ECU depending on the performance level you desire. The programs may include:
•Stock (ideal for dealer service)
•Street Program
•Race Program
•Race 3, Race 4 (for larger turbos)
•Valet Program (top speed 30 MPH)
This is a key fob, that you press buttons on it to switch between these modes....call or email one of the GIAC dealers for more info (IA, EVO, PES, etc.)

I don't think that the pricing differs significantly between the GIAC dealers. Also, the pricing is somewhat negotiable... depending upon how much work you are planning to do. Food for thought.

Call Stephen at imagineauto.com for GIAC stuffs. He has the switchable version which is cool. At the press of a button you can go from 100 octane modes, to 91 or back to stock if you're going into the dealer. Very cool. The ibe unit fits perfectly in the ash tray too.. Now there's a bit of trivia for ya. Happy huntin'.
PES, Imagine Auto, EVO

I've seen this seller on ebay advertising GIAC upgrades from EVO MS for about $500 savings over EVO's advertised price. I'm not sure if they are reputable or not...It's one of those joints where you have to join and you get the wholesale price.
Msindi just sell me your car...I will save me the headache of modifying.. I think its gonna cost me the price of 2 turbos to modify one.!!!

Just leave it with me!! I have 4 parking spots in my garage...I will take good care of it.. I can rent it from you.

From what I have expereinced, there is not really much room to bargian with the GIAC chip. They are veyr adament about their pricing and it will be hard to find one specific vendor below others.
