Anyone here own a BMW 645Ci?

I'm considering ordering an '06 650Ci Coupe for Jan/Feb delivery as a daily driver. Wonder if anyone has any ownership experience with this car.

Thanks in advance.

Test drove it and decided to pass on it, ugly styling and muted performance. Further, my wife didn't want or like it either.

But beauty is in the eye of the beholder!

I have one, style takes some getting used to but its pretty cool overall. Engine performance/handling is great considering how big the car is - pretty sporty feel IMHO

What did you expect, Porsche Turbo performance? The car is still faster then the CL500, and handles 100x better. The interior is very nice espacially in certain colors, car looks very agressive as well.

Consider an M6?

Yes, I would. Except, it's a long way off, most dealers already have deposits from 6 to 12 people. Should be a great car. Five hundred hp V10, claiming 0-60 in 4.4 sec. Probably close to 2 years to get one..... could probably find one sooner, but not necessarily in the colors I would want.

I think the 645 is one of the best looking cars being made right now! The M6 would be a KILLER ride!!!

Have a '05 645 coupe. Absolutely love the car. I think the styling is great! I get positive comments everywhere i go. Its not a race car, but it handles and moves great for a heavy GT. Go for it! You wont regret it!

I owned 2 645ci coupes. Best GT car imo. I got compliments on its styling all the time. I actually have a 650i that I am getting in early October. I like the car soo much I ordered a coupe and convertable. Was thinking of sending the convertable to Florida for winter and keeping the coupe in Chicago and storing the Z8. Also in regards to power, the 650 will have 360-365hp... The 645ci is a VERY fast car, some above said its slow, but, even the 645 was 5.2 to 60......faster than an sl500, cl500,s500, almlost as fast as an M3.....I think the 650 will definately be in M3 territrory

Definetly LSM, the 550i will be as fast if not faster then the E39 M5. The M6 will be a incredible car, the interior with that carbon fiber, the engine, the CF roof. I love it!

Did you ever find a newer Z8 with less miles to take the place of your z8?

Still have the same Z8... Truth is, my Z8 is worth $10k more than I paid. The Z8 market has really exploded. To replace it would cost me $18k to move up a model year. I'm really safe where I am and I bought an extended 3 yr warranty at cost...so, I'm good until July 2008....
