Need recommendation for brake pads for 996tt

Hi Guys
Sorry for another thread for recommendations, but i'm getting the car ready for a huge maintenance and i'm seeking advice for brake pads now.
This is more of a street car, my daily driver and will hopefully have a few autox days this summer/spring.
What should i go for? OEM? Pagid? Educate me please!!
Thanks in advance.
Mike

I've read a lot of positive feedback on the EBC redstuff for street use, but that was 2 years ago. Not sure if anything has changed since then, but I'm thinking about changing mine out after putting ceramics on my wife's range rover and seeing the her car go from a brake dust factory to almost non-existant brake dust.

Only time I've ever gone with a non-OEM pad on a performance car was on my 03 cobra about 5 years ago and I put Hawk HPS on it. Was a good pad from what I can remember... Cleaned that car more than I drove it, so I can't recall what the brake dust situation was like. Also comparing Ford pads to Hawk pads (rather than Porsche pads to Hawk pads) is a totally apples to oranges.

edit: recent review on a VW GTI regarding the HPS and switching over to red stuff with better results: http://www.golfmk6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=35381
Seems like the Red Stuff gets a pretty good rep??

p.s. wealth manager, since I see you have a '12 RRS as well, the brake pads I switched my wife's RRS to were "POWERSTOP Z-16 Ceramic brake pads." Cheap as dirt ($117 shipped f&r from topbrakes.com) Read a few reviews from other RRS owners and a 2010 CTS-V owner that loved them, so I gave them a shot. Can't say I disagree with them. The ceramics were initially less grabby than the OEM brakes, but improved as the brakes bedded in. Still not quite as 'grabby' as the OEM pads, but very smooth and linear. And like I said previously, next to no brake dust at all compared to having a very noticeable layer of brake dust after just one day's commute for her

I'd go cheap-o OEM / Textars for street use.

If you're going out for HPDEs I'd look into a new set of PFCs.

Textar is the OEM and they are nice. I have however had many guys who loved the EBC Red Stuff on the street as an all-around improvement. No complaints

+ for another NSX guy!

I'd personally go for a mild organic street pad that has low dust and rotor wear characteristics - even more so than stock as I'll never see any significant brake pad temps daily driving. Then have a second aggressive set for track duty.

Something like the HPS Hawks would be great from my prior experience on other vehicles. This is likely step down performance wise from stock pads, but should have better dust/wear characteristics which is what I need for a daily driver. No need for an all around pad as I'll get better use specific performance with two sets anyways. And they'e cake to change.
