I am really dissapointed in the people who would not drive that far or be willing to ship their car to the event. Whatever, we will have an awesome time while you read about it on the net!

Just makes sense. Not to mention I think I can make the insurance thing work through my company.
If we could get the insurances 6speed will be 100% behind it

Sarcacism. Hate us until we save their asses mentaility, but I am primarily an EOE, medical and professional malpractice defense lawyer so I am jaded.

Those looking for a free ride, not attorneys, cause most of the unecessary litigation. I was surprised that insurance coverage was raised as an issue by a participant.

I once totaled a car at a track and I never even considered suing anyone as I view that just part of the risk I assumed. Anyway, if someone came to me and said they wanted to sue an event organizer because their heavily moded 1000 hp car went 190 mph and blew up, I would tell them not to let the door hit their dumb *** on the way out.

A concern I would have as a sponser may be injuries to spectators or third parties not involved in the event. An all risk general liability may cover. I would check with a speciality lines company like CNA or AIG. AIG underwrites high risk lines such as explosives, fireworks, events, and flying.

CNA is in the process of dropping some of their non-conventional lines, but worth contacting if no help from an independent underwriter, business carrier or AIG says no.

lawyers

Even though Iam a Plaintiffs' Attorney, i agree with much of what you said and for those very reasons, know that any facility will require insurance and additional insured status.

How did the choices come down to those two tracks?
Demographically, I would guess the largest contingent would be from the N.E., or the S.E. US.
Why no interest in Daytona, or really challenging tracks with road courses?
Lime Rock
New Hampshire
Pocono
Watkins Glen
I would be interested in seeing how well prepped these cars would be for a road course, with say an enduro type race?
If your only interest is in trap speed or 1/4 mile times, go to your local dragstrip and have your times certified.
I would really like to see a real test of power and preparation, on a road course, for more than say, one lap?
