Mate, I am an electronic engineer and will do very thorough and detailed research before I touch anything than in other than but beta mode, but thanks for your concern...

The Eurodyne has some nice features which allow add on mods to be put in... or one can always get a pro to tune it like I am with Tim941NYC for my current needs... the beauty however of being able to log all the tables in real time with this product is you can actually see the affects of changes to timing, fueling yada yada yada in real time in the actual tables used... seems safer than trusting some "name" tuner to give you a blind tune or one of those off the shelf maps which are ***** nilly sold to whoever and whomever without any for-thought to different mods

thx for input
I have some saved data files and logs if you want to look at the detail of those... there is a guy here and/or on another tuning site who has the equivalent of the EVOMS 700 tune you mentioned yet in Eurodyne form (not sure if it also has the EVOMs vflow Hitachi MAF part) ....

I will ask him if he can send a copy to me.....

I have a copy of an old tune my ECU was on which needed more fueling and a new Eurodyne tune of my earlier ECU ... I am sure once word gets around and the number of 996 TT guys with this product start talking we could save a pile of maps in a database like they do in the COBB community

Ok... the research I have done shows the Maestro setup to be amazing....

And that's good cuz I have it currently. I bought a 996tt recently from Fire on here, and it has been tuned by him using Maestro.

Now I will be totally honest.... I'm a complete noob tard when it comes to tuning... so I'm scared to death to tackle this on my own. Fire has done a great job up to this point on this one. It's true power has yet to be unlocked due to the need for more fuel.

I will be doing Tim's in-tank fuel pump and bigger line mod here shortly, in hopes that is good enough. I really don't want to dump $5k on an external surge system... In fact I had just pm'd Tim today asking him what whp numbers his fuel pump mods put it safely at.

My question is, after I get the fuel system done, what the hell should i do? Is there enough support for Maestro that I could muddle my way through getting this car to the 700-750 point that I want to? Will i be able to send data to someone/anyone to get help with setting things up? Am I better off abandoning the Maestro and letting a tuner do a tune for me? The car has already gone MAFless with the Maestro tune... can any others tun mafless, or am i stuck with this software.

Advice would be awesome... I'm just not sure what to do. If my map is close already, maybe I can give it a go with some help....

Thanks in advance.

Yes you can get it to 700 or whatever the supporting mods will allow...

Tim is a dealer for Eurodyne and has our car currently...

I also have seen some Durametric and Eurodyne logs for a number of cars modded anywhere from 500 crank to 800 crank.. I intend simulating the timing, fueling etc offline with Eurodyne and then see if it replicates the other tune uisng the maestro logging functions without actually putting anything on the car..

The guy down the road from me has another tune and is at 650 or so awhp... I have his data logs and another which look eerily similar from yet another tuner.... but I would not ***** nilly put them carte blanche on another car......

Do your fueling and get Tim to tune it for your new fueling set up using Eurodyne... no need to buy yet another tune externally...

also start with your current tune and measure a WOT 3rd gear run using the Eurodyne datalogger and look at what your car is exactly doing

Excellent, this is great news. Just knowing that I have someone that I can show logs to that can tell me what direction to go is enough push for me to continue with the maestro.

I will get the fuel mods done. Is there a number that Tim's fuel pump/line mods can safely get me to hp wise so I know where to stop? I don't want to cook a motor due to lack of fuel.

Excellent!

Like I said, the car runs great now, Larry did an awesome job getting it to the current state. It throws a rich code if I stay in second or third gear at low rpm sometimes.... other than it running very rich (back end gets covered in black) it's good to go... I just don't wanna leave any ponies on the table that I could be utilizing.

I believe this car has been built as a clone to the USP GT2 record holder.... woot!

I'm doing a big turbo Cayenne 955 build, Is this something that can be used on that with the Motronic? Right now the plan is to just have Todd @ Protomotive do the tuning remotely with the help of a local dyno guy but I'd really like to get rid of the MAF's and have something that me and a local guy could work on together as things progress.

Every tune I have seen seems to be rich on this ECU, dunno why but every one has been rich in that max TALK range 3500-4500 rpms
