Don't get married if you like doing what you want on your car. I would have a 997 T or a Gallardo if I wasn't married.

Couldn't agree more, and honestly that is why I bought this car before we get engaged. I knew once that process started, she may not be excited about the car. I must say though, she does love the car and encourages me to punch it all the time (like the devil on my shoulder).

Or just find a wife who is into the same things. My fiance is encouraging me to upgrade my turbos before we start househunting for the next house. We also plan to get something more exotic, like a Gallardo, in a few years.

Steve, I have to compliment you on the phenomenal job you did putting your car together. I have seen a lot of 996TT's and have been to a lot of Porsche shows, rallys, etc., since I purchased my car in 2002 and I must say that I do not ever recall seeing a 996TT done up as nicely as yours! IMO, you used perfect judgement in balancing customization with impeccable taste and the result is astounding. Quite an achievement for a newcomer to the 996TT. Congratulations on the truly fantastic outcome! You should be very proud.

Note: Steve was on a Porsche group rally that I attended this past weekend, where I was able to see his car for the first time...
