What?! Again? GT2 wheel spacers

First my disclaimer: I have looked everywhere for a specific answer and it is not here [or on any other site that I have found [I wasted many hours looking and this is my last resort].

The car: 2002 Porsche GT2, stock ride height

Present wheels: late 996 GT2 8.5 + 12 x 18s with stock tire sizes

The "new" wheels: 997 GT2 8.5 + 12 x 19 with stock tire sizes

So, we are talking about fitting a set of 997 GT2 wheels on a 996 GT2. Fairly straightforward, I thought. I trial fitted them using some 7mm spacers I had sitting around. Obviously there is room for larger spacers.

I have read:
7mm front + 14 mm rear
7mm front + 15 mm rear
14 mm ft + 14 mm rear
and even
14mm ft + 7 mm rear
and more.

The only verified sizes I have seen is 7 + 14. It appears that there is room for the 14s up front, and then run 14s all around. However, I am not interested in tearing things up and having to revisit this.

I ran this by one of our sponsors who suggested I use 10 + 14 mm and be done with it. It sounds good and "safe", but if I can run 14s up front without interference on my stock height GT2, it seems a shame to not take advantage of this extra bit of attitude.

So, please, 996 GT2 fitment only. I have no wish to make any changes other than these wheels and tires. Your confirmed fitment information would be very much appreciated.

the 7 & 15 mm spacers most run on 18's most closely mimics the stance of the stock stance and width of gt2 wheels, so that's why folks run that. have no idea though on how that is changed my the fact you're asking about adding spacers on 19's. sorry. i can tell you 7&15's is a great compromise solution for running stock 18 twists at gt2 height though.

997 GT2 wheels are:
Rear-12" wide/ 51mm offset
Front-8.5" width/ 53mm offset

Use 7mm spacers front and rear. If you are not using any shims on your front LCAs, you could go up to 14mm on the front. If you are using 5mm shims or more per side, I'd stick with 7mm spacers on the front..
