Fitting a flex fuel sensor (ethanol sensor)

My mapper was unable to fit the flex fuel sensor as the return line was hard piped. Has anyone fitted one, or is there a how-to anywhere with some pics?

It's for the syvecs ECU if that makes any difference.

yeah you have to add some -6 AN fittings into the hardline and put flexfuel there. i just replaced my whole return line with a -8 from the regulator back to the tank.

Cheers. I've seen some diagrams on auto Atlanta, did you fit it next to the tank or is there a better spot. I see there is also a fitting under the car but probably not the best place for a sensor.

The quick connects to the fuel pump are 5/16, but they are shallow and my 6an coupler won't fit so I need to get a new quick connect from pump and a rubber hose as I have PTFE to my 6an fittings.

depending on how much fuel you are moving the flex fuel sensor is pretty restrictive. on my car i have a -8 return and i split into two -6 before the flex sensor, one goes thru it and one is free flowing, then come back together to a -8.

Looks something like this .... ----<===>----
