2003 Supplments to Porsche 996 Service Manuals
2003 Supplments to Porsche 996 Service Manuals
I just purchased the full 13 volume set of Porsche 996 service manuals... but unfortunately, there are supplements required to bring the set up to current (2003) model year.
Does anyone in the group have the supplements and would you be willing to answer a couple of questions? If so, please PM me.
Kind Regards,
Joe West

Hi Don,
What I needed was some way of figuring out the incredible MESS of documentation that came with my set of books...
I had 14 notebooks and a 12" stack of stapled supplements. It looks like my supplements are up through 21, so I'll need to get the latest set of supplements to bring the books current.
After sitting down with this massive collection of dead trees, I finally figured out how the supplements are to be inserted. Funny thing, for some reason when I ordered the manuals, I figured they would be up to date and put together... this couldn't be further from the truth. It took me 9 or so hours yesterday to get the collection put together and organized.
One question; how do you order your supplements?
Kind Regards,
Joe West

Joe, congratulations on getting the manuals together. I order my supplements from http://www.my-porsche.com/ . I also ordered my manuals from them, so I don't know if they sell supplements to folks who haven't bought the manuals. It's certainly worth a check though.
The only other possibility that I know of would be through your local dealer. Don't even know if that's possible.

Hi Don,
Thanks for the link... I checked out their manuals, and they are not the same as the factory Porsche manuals I purchased... which means their supplements won't work for me
Guess I'll have to spend the additional $175 with the dealer to get the supplements to bring my manuals current.
Now... if I can just find someone who will translate these 13 manuals to PDF...

You're right... I'll bet they are the same... I went back and looked and it shows 13 volumes... at about the same price I paid for my set from the dealer. I'm still trying to decode the supplement ordering system
