996 Turbo / GT2 Turbo discussion on previous model 2000-2005 Porsche 911 Twin Turbo and 911 GT2.

Any 03' and up TT owners experience the coolant fitting leaks?

Just did mine. In addition to not enough glue on some of mine the bore was smooth and the pipes were fairly smooth also. (Not good for bonding).

I also know 2 guys running 2001 TT's as their dedicated track cars with decent mileage (80k plus) and they have never had a coolant leak. I'm not saying the issue doesn't happen, I think it is very random and the number of cars affected is not as high as you would be led to believe. People on forums like this are enthusiasts and do preventative maintenance and also run their cars harder.

That said I take everything I read here with a grain of salt. I do my homework, I pay attention to MY car, and do the things I want done or need to be done. These forums are great places to glean information but doesn't mean your car is subject to the same failures other's have suffered.

With the issue occurring randomly with high and low mileage vehicles maybe there were varying types of adhesives used during production.
