Production Numbers..
Hmm,, that Porsche magazine is not an American Magazine.
I will have to check into that now.

I have that book, the Essential Companion, where those figures were apparently sourced from, page 600-601.
The info the author used was sourced from Porsche AG Historic Archives.
If there was a program where you could search by VIN number, they do break it down between ROW (Rest of World) and US, Brazil, and Mexico. I can tell you that no 2000 year model Turbos were sold here, those are designated for ROW for that year, and none for the US.

IIRC, 2004+ was GT2.2; parts: carbon exterior bits(mirrors, spoiler, front 'aero' grill,) GT3 style wheels, bump to 483hp, dampers revalved to similar specs of GT3, (think alignment specs well??), probably a few things I've missed.
Only updates I think are desirable are the wheels and suspension, but for those who aren't leaving it bone stock...
Cheers,
