PS Nice 930! I love mine and hope to get it going soon

Hey Kenny, yeps the front 1/8th could be better but it's a fine line on these street tires. Launch too hard and the car bogs as well so.. Kinda like the 6speed. The best I could do is probably go with some 18 inch Drag Radials since I have the huge brakes
Nobody wants to work on the tranny shifts unfortunately

I had the same problem with my M Coupe. I had large AP Racing rotors up front and in the end had to swap the rotors out for smaller units that would clear 15" wheels front and rear. I just swap the big rotors back on when I'm not drag racing.
18" drag radials are just stickier tyres .. there's no sidewall still. You really need to go to a 15" rim to harness the car's potential at the drag strip. You will never look back if you put in the extra effort. I'd say you could drop a full second off your ET with slicks, provided the car has enough power.
Regarding the transmission, the shifts are costing you valuable tenths with that lazy action. There will be someone somewhere you can sort that out for you. Talk to the big name drag racing places, they will have no fear.
Lastly you need a line locker to stall up on the converter at the beams. If you can get those big turbos on load better your short time will plummet!

You can expect that to change as more people get into it and someone turbocharges one.

I keep harping on one thing over and over....
has anyone broke into the 10s with a 6 speed tranny?
Im getting very close but its so hard to get a 1.6 60 foot....
Im guessing that the TIP takes away lots of these headaches.

I agree on the 1-2 shift- it's already bent a driveshaft once...

Have you had any other stuff break on the launch or 1-2 shift? I want to put a stiffer suspension and stronger clutch in my S4 so I can leave the line harder, but I'm afraid of breaking expensive things...

Alex,
Love the video and Congrats that is so AWESOME! You are
the king of the Quarter Mile!
I would love to run a 10 but I don't know if I can abuse my brand new stage 3 clutch just to do it. Maybe after my track event in 2 weeks, I don't want anything to break before that!
Congrats again that is so cool!

But I still love pulling a 1.62 on them and mopping the domestics that have drag radials and burnouts
I was going to try a bit harder to get the best possible time on this set up (you kow the whole, I drove it here and back etc..) first and then see what I can do with the crazy slicks etc.. The front 275s have to go though. that's just plain silly
I'll see what I can do after talking to Garret... Line-lock, slicks etc... I'll be a PorVette soon
