996 turbo makes news in V8 land...

Hear are pics of the tire and what it did.
Now this charge pipe is pre intercooler and on a elbow..
Now here is where the money that I spent on data logging pays.. My Emap (exhaust manifold absolute pressure) was up. That tell me there is something wrong, its more often then not a boost leak. In this case it was a smashed pipe. This happens because the turbo needs to work harder to move the same cfm to make X power. The wastegate closes and the Emap goes up to hit the map (manifold absolute pressure) psi you controller is targeting. Thank you again for the support!!!

Tim,
Your car is a freeking monster. It sucks about the tire, but as has already been said it's fortunate it happened on the dyno and not next weekend. I'm hoping to be able to make it out next weekend and say hi.

Spectacular Tim. Please have restraint on your warm up passes so you don't get airborne. May I say that is the best sounding 3.6 996TT in the Universe. WOW.
Godspeed at the TEXAS MILE and please update us while you are down there.
