Back to stock to sell??
It might be more appealing for someone who is looking for a modded Porsche but most buyers are looking for stock, and anyone looking for a modded one isn't going to pay 1500 more to cover the cost of the 1500 tune you just added, adding mods to try and sell a car really isn't a good idea IMO, you'll never see that money again.
I live near park Place LTD and keep an eye on all the turbo's they sell, the stock cars all seem to sell within the first several weeks, even the high mileage cars. Tips sell just as fast or faster as the manuals. Modded cars sit on the lot forever, even a set of aftermarket wheels turns off 3/4 of the buyers. Look at the black modded 04 on their web site, it has been there for 14 months and it's a nice car. Put your car back 100% stock and good luck.

Yeh!! No lie, good point!
My gut and consensus I think says get as much back to stock as possible, and I likely will. It's no big deal to pull the exhaust and carbon bits and go back to stock but the carbon looks dang good. I think the CF has a value of $1500+ as does the speedtech..
I know when I bought it I was looking for bone stock and also expect abuse is directly proportional to level of mods. Probably not a law but a general rule.
No way I'd do a tune and then sell. If I do that I might as well bolt these k24/18g, injectors, and other crap on and head on down the road. In my opinion, anything more than exhaust would devaluate the car in most situations. I'm sure there is a buyer for any scenario tho.

Iv still got my stock vents and other pieces, but when I get them off il let you know.
Same for exhaust nick although there was someone earlier in the thread who mentioned interest.
I might get this stuff off this weekend. Waiting on window regulator and other small parts to roll in anyway.

Now, to be fair, realistic too. If you find the right buyer at the right time with strong financial resources and they happen to like all the mods that you have done and will pay more for them, you hit the jackpot. It happens in Vegas too, but it's rare just the same.
The value for modded vehicles is in the eye of the owner. I've made my living for the last 40 years customizing vehicles. I have a good grip on generally how it affects sales on the secondary market.
I'm a guy thinking about a 996 turbo, and personally I'd prefer a moddded one as long as it's done right. I don't think I'd pay more for one but I'd put it higher on my short list as I'd be modding the thing anyway. Definitely wheels. Not a fan of the stockers. Any mods means less money for me to put out... Can't be the only guy to think this way can I?
i bet you are in the minority though, i expect most people are looking for an unmolested stock car, personally i would buy a modded one from a member of 6speed who had a documented build but not some random guy who claims this that and the other was done by some random shop
One of the only ways I would buy a significantly modded car is if I knew the guy very well (like a neighbor or childhood friend) and knew all the who, what, when, where, and why of the mods.
A car with $25000 in upgrades done last week is much different than $25000 in mods done 2 years ago no matter who built the car or what the "paperwork" says. My opinion.
