Got my car back and now I'm having fun with it

Hi there 6speeders.

It's been a heckuva ride with my car. It's spent much of its time in a shop over the last 18 months I've owned it, but I recently got it back and I'm now doing all of the things I've thought about doing (with the exception of the awesome iPad integration).

Marski tuned it with his 91 Octane, 1 bar tune (AMAZING!). I got new for me seats (which are heated!!). I've had GT3RS stripes put on, a GT2 rep bumper fitted (by EuroPros and they did a phenomenal, stellar, wonderfully impressive job (including the stealth mount they fabricated for the radar detector and laser jammers)!!), intake splitters installed, a Misha GTM wing (I think that's what it is!) is being painted today and hopefully I'll get it back from EuroPros on Friday (looks like an easy DIY install), new tires are also going on today/tomorrow and the wheels will get a light refinishing to remove some curb rash. Next week, I'm hopeful that a clear bra will be installed and I may have the hood and roof wrapped in satin black and have the red portion of the taillights lightly tinted.

After that, the only other project I've got planned is to repaint the calipers as they have faded a bit.

This is what it looks like right now (pre hood/roof wrap and GTM wing).

Anyway, the point is that after a pretty rough start to my ownership, I'm really happy to have a functioning car that makes me smile.

Looking good! Post some pic when the wing is on.

Personally I'd skip wrapping the roof and hood. Either do the whole car or skip it all together. Consider going all red tin for the taillights. I don't think it's been done on a 996, but looks great on 997s.

Here's a pic of someone else's car with the hood wrapped and another pic of the taillights. I'm not feeling the red tint on the 997 GT2...

I did a front hood wrap to break up all the silver up front.

IMHO it looks great how the GT2 front bumper vents transition to the black wrapped hood. Post #3

It is a personal choice. Not trying to talk to into it or not.

BTW, I have the 3M clear under the front wrap to protect the hood.

Looks good, but I'm curious as to why you didn't tune it for 93, since here in the DMV that's what's available at the pump?

I'm not a big sticker fan, but hey you like it and that's all that matters.
