Question about EVOMS GT2 Clutch Conversion

So, for background I've driven the 996 GT2 to get a feel of the clutch and loved it. I had the EVOMS conversion done on my 996 Turbo maybe two weeks ago, and the first time I drove it, it felt very similar to the GT2 and I loved it as well. The clutch pedal was quite hard to depress and did not depress to the floor like previously (maybe half the distance), and the engagement was practically instant as I let off the clutch.

So about a week ago, I felt a significant change in the feel of the clutch. The clutch pedal is easier to depress, but now travels to the floor. This once again gives me the more vague feel of where the engagement point is like with the stock 996 Turbo clutch. I called EVOMS and they said that it is normal for this to change to this level. However, it just doesn't feel right to me. It definitely doesn't feel like the GT2 that I drove previously, and in fact feels a lot like the stock setup. Do I just need to get the system rebled? There was a bit of a temperature change in the last two weeks, so I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it.

Try re bleeding the system. I had a similar issue and I ended up replacing the stainless steel line they provided with the OEM gt2 hose. Never had a problem since.

OK, good to know. Do you know the part number for the OEM GT2 hose by any chance?

I wouldn't worry about changing the line. I bet it had some air entrapped in the system and bleeding should take care of it.

Can someone describe to me what exactly this conversion should feel like when done? Right after getting this done, I felt like the pedal didn't go all the way down to the floor and that it began to engage literally right after letting off the clutch.

Right now, I feel like my clutch pedal travels further down, I would say about 1 inch farther than the level of the dead pedal. From the further down point, there is a travel distance of about 3 inches before it begins to engage. To be honest, it doesn't feel hugely different from the stock turbo feel apart from being harder to depress.

After the initial job I felt a difference over a week or so, so I had the shop drain the system twice. However, it still doesn't feel the same as when it was done initially. Help anyone?

Mine has felt the same since day one...great feel and precise engagement. I would suggest an installation problem (including removing Pentosin and fill with fluid).

Does yours feel like it engages right after you step off the clutch? I know that they completely drained it

Not sure what you mean by step off the clutch. Mine engages with very little travel needed.

The best way I can describe it, is that my clutch pedal travel distance is the same as before the conversion. When pressed totally down, the clutch pedal is maybe one inch below the dead pedal. I have to release it about three inches from that point before it begins to engage. Then it travels back to the same level as unpressed, equal w brake pedal.

Called EVOMS and they said it sounds like it's supposed to? They recommended a clutch pedal stop might be the solution. Anyone have any recommendations?
