Still issue with 996tt after 3 months
If my car had a problem that I could easily replicate but couldn't resolve after 3 months I would bring it to my trusty race shop. I wouldn't live with this for 3 months and counting. Just my 2 centados!
Could be a problem in the map, does it happen when you load the car? IE accelerate from a low speed in say 4th gear? Ive heard this can happen in some maps. Also ive heard tell of problems with the wires from the ABS sensorsa in the front wheels to where they join in the inner wings, porsche apparently modified these and they are only around $25 in the UK so you may want to change those, mine did this with 2 new MAF's and it was put down to a problem in the map.
I took mine to the shop a 3 months ago and after spending some dollars on a throttle body cleaning, the problem is still unsolved. The shop I went to doesn't have a smoke machine or a pressuried tester. They only took the bumper off to visually check all the 2 IC pipes and the 2 turbo hoses. In the end, without taking them off, they reported that those 4 hoses are not leaking.
Moreover, the sad thing is that I bought a faulty MAF and now I am really stuck between weather to buy another one first before fixing the leaks or fixing the leaks first.

Hi Johnny,
No problem with 3rd or 4th gear WOT pulls. The car has absolutely no problem as long as I have some throttle. The abs/psm light only comes on when my foot is off the gas.
May I have the part no. of the ABS sensor? Many thanks for your help again.
Im waiting for the part number myself as was only told this the other day and am going to change mine, I will chase it up.
Sorry, bout my post. I thought you were solely doing this on your own. I will tell you I had a boost issue where I didn't get full boost after driving for a while. First time was definitely my diverter valves. Then they told me my ECU was bad so they recalibrated it. Finally, I got fed up and had the car fully leak tested. Turned out nothing was wrong at all. Essentially, because my tune puts out 490HP to the wheels I would get a little wheel-slip which would cause the PASM to kick in and boost would drop. This was more pronounced when I would change back to my stock wheel/tires as they have less rubber than my other set. Now, if I turn PASM off I get full boost but I can feel a little wheel slippage. I spent some solid money on nothing.
Anyways, your problem is not mine but I would replace the MAF immediately and see what that does. Or, try a new shop. I brought my car to 2.

Finally, both the abs/psm, erratic idle and p0102 are all gone. Durametric is telling me there is no error code after driving for 3 days.
The problem was solved through 2 leak tests. The indy found around 5 leaks and also replaced a dozen of other vacuum hoses a as precautionary measure. 3-4 leaks were found near the F hose, but the F hose itself was fine. The first leak test showed also a leak with the venturi T piece with part no. 99611065270. So problem persisted for another month while I was waiting for the T piece to arrive. At last, when this T piece that sits just behind the top of the engine oil filter was replaced, all the throttle response and stable idling are back. The car is perfect again, thanks for all the help. I hope my sharing will become a useful one for those who read this post.
