Tire wear on a Turbo

Folks, I had an interesting experience with my tires. I have been driving on 19 inch wheels and running 325 wide in the back. awesome - but extremely hard ride - and I had been looking to soften that up a bit so I bought a set of hollows to be used for the next set of shoes. So last week, one of my rear tires lost air. In fact it was totally flat in the morning. I pumped it up and it held air for several hours so I was able to get to the shop. They told me the rear tires where "gone". Now I had been checking my tires for thread at least once a week because I had about 8k miles on it and they were getting a little low on rubber but " gone".. I did no think so.....
So I get the new tires ( 295 Kumho's on 18 inch). Then, I see the Goodrich's. The thread was still ok but the wear was just where the thread and the side wall meet. Yes, on the side of the tire. I can only see two possibilities :.
1/ the power of the turbo relentlessly tried to pull the thread away from the side wall and finally did just that.
2/ the camber of the wheel rim / tire put soo much load on that part that is just destroyed the sidewall.
You could not see it just by looking from the back of the car . It really was totally on the inside of the tires.
Keep an eye on that!!

Camber + Weight + HP + Smoke = dead tires. You gotta pay to play. Plan on buying rears every 8-10k, it's life.

I'd agree. My Pilots have about 6k on them, and the rears are nearly done. Fronts look ok. When I've researched this in the past, "rear toe setting" comes up, especially on lowered cars (I see from your sig you have c/o's, assuming a lower stance). My local indy shop was able to get my toe set, but my adjusters are maxed. I may look into adjustable toe links.

.25 toe on each side. I had the same issue. Ate the sidewalls. Also, check and see how much you are eating the inside wheel well
