Vendors for PSS9's

Well, after a few weeks, I had to cancel my order and get refunded for my PSS9's, since they are out of stock til the end of October. I bought them from the group buy about a month ago, and never received them or any kind of tracking number. So, who else sells them for a competitive price out there? Thanks for any advice.

Funny thing was that I did contact them, and spoke to a rep...but never heard back from them yet. I was told they are Euro models, so there is no warranty from Bilstein USA. The rep did tell me that they modify them, and warranty them, but all claims go back to Germany if there are any issues. I am waiting for a return call to find out how long their warranty is.

FVD PSS9's are valved to our specs by BILSTEIN (They are stiffer and are painted yellow ). We do not modify them at all, all work on them is done BY BILSTEIN and therefor have the same warranty that all other PSS9's have. I can't remember it off the top of my head, buts I remember its pretty good. The rumor that the Euro PSS9's have no warranty is not true, all Euro PSS9's (Incl. FVD, Techart, RUF, etc.) all have the same warranty!

I've had and installed both sets... there are some differences. The FVD ones, whilst more expensive, have stiffer springs and better valving. In addition the bump stops seem to be lower down than on regular PSS9s.... If you can swing it I'd go with those. Regular PSS9s are a bit softy

Hey Maxwell, I met you at Tischer a few months ago. I have the silver Turbo with RG5's getting the GIAC and V-Flow that day.
The FVD models as I was told from the rep are revalved and modified for a different feeling in ride than the regular USA models. They are also Euro models so Bilstein USA will not warranty them at all. Also the Euro PSS9's are from I hear alot less expensive..not sure why though, since the US dollar is so weak.

I would rather stick with the US model since I am having Tischer install them, and have the piece of mind that if I had a warranty issue (or man. defect), I can send them back and get them replaced with no hassles.

Evan, I have never spoken to you ever, but I did try calling you today, and they said you went back to school. I spoke to a girl (can't remember her name) today about the FVD model PSS9's, and she said she was going to call me back in 15 minutes.....but that was about 6 hours ago. I am looking for the US models, and was told that they were all Euro models that have been modified exclusively for you guys.

Hello,
Yes I am back in school, but still work part time and am in the office a couple times a week... ANYWAY, what you were told is correct, we do not sell "US Model" PSS9's, they are FVD Spec PSS9's done by bilstein for us. I wrote Rhonda (I am guessing thats who you spoke with) an email reminding her to call you. I am sure it got busy there (trust me I know). With me gone they are a man down... Everyone who has tried the US, Euro, Techart, etc. have all prefered the FVD above the rest (Look at Alex's post up there from Sharkwerks, he said it right). I have been running them on my car for 26,000 miles so far with no problems what so ever!
Hope I answered your questions,
Evan

Yups warranty or not... I'm just saying from experience the FVD PSS9s are better than any of the other ones. Actually I remember on Cody's car we did the RuF ones which also had the bump stop removed but those are even more pricey! I came 3rd on the track by .09 in the first shoot out with those PSS9s and for the street with occasional track they were great. I've had about 6 different suspension kits on my car lol... If you want to go lower than 1.5 inches then you have to use FVDs.

Actually from doing all of my research, I was not planning on lowering the car more than about an inch or so, and I am new to tracking. I just wanted a sportier feeling suspension with the ability to dial in more or less stiffness and ride compliance whenever I wanted to. If I ever become an avid track person, I will probably upgrade, and get into something more serious, but for now I thought PSS9's were the way to go. Also considered X73 and Row, but they are all priced around the same.

Also would it benefit to add the hard X73 motor mounts with the PSS9's?
