Sell 996TT for V700 CTS-V?

I've had my 996 for over 2 years now and have put on about 2000 miles in that time. This is mostly due to a tight fit for my now 9 and 12 year old kids in the back seat. Really, aside from Cars and Coffee events and Porsche rallies, I really only ever take the 996 out for short local trips. That said, I'm considering selling my 996TT and picking up a powerful sedan that I can drive more often, going back to a sports car when my eldest can drive herself.

I really like the 2014 E63s and the F10 M5s, but recently came across a 2011 Hennessey V700 CTS-V for what is a lot cheaper than its German rivals. I know the V3 will be out in a year or so, but I've always like the V2 styling and coming from an 03 996, will have far more creature comforts.

My question for this forum is have any of you had any experiences in a tuned CTS-V2? All I see right now is 707hp and 700tq for $50K. I'd love to hear opinions of members who have driven both cars (even if it's just a stock V) or who have made a jump in either direction.

Thanks guys.

I just got to drive a brand new CTS-V Sport this last week for a couple of days through one of my colleagues. If you want bells and whistle, this is it, more than I wanted to see. Two different vehicles. The CTS-V reminded me of my Audi S4, quick, a little heavy footed compared to the TT. Good acceleration for a 4 dr saloon. Ride is a little softer than my S4 which is surprising for a car running 20" wheels/tires combo
As a family go quick grocery getter with little ones in the back, it has appeal. Back seat is ample for me, 5"9" 205lbs.
Funny thing, first time I put it in reverse my left ***/leg vibrated, looked around for my phone thinking I was getting a call. Saw phone in center console, then finally realized it was a proximity warning of a car parked to my left

My only reservation on the bowtie company is longevity....
