This weekend I saw a new black Merc E55 w/ HRE 547s painted (anodized) black in the center. They looked awesome. What do you guys think--should I have my centers on my HRE 540s anodized black by HRE? Cost is about 300 per wheel. Here are some pics of my car. Can anybody photoshop the centers black?

I don't care for black wheels on a black car... IMHO they look best on Silver or Yellow.

 

Black wheels are not my preference either, only on track cars or winter wheels do they seem appropriate to me. If you liked the look of them, go for it. One great thing about black wheels is the abilty to hide brake dust!!

 

I have Profil 10's with black centers and polished aluminum rims on a black car...most people think looks great.

 

I say go with the black centers and polished lips if you like the look, that combo IMO looks the best on a black car, it will look hot.

I would do it!!! I am ordering Black HRE 845R's in a week or 2 for my car...its really a personal look...my dad and stepmom hate black rims but I love um....

I have brushed HRE 542s on a Basalt TT Cab. I debated for a long time buying black centers before deciding on these. My wife feels they are too "bling" and I sometimes tend to agree. I actually think that your centers would look great painted black especially with the 2" and 4" polished lips and exposed bolts. I think I would paint them Basalt to match. Here's a pic of a black TT with black Cargraphics which are similar to your wheels:
