It has not left GMG. They are still working on it. Just trying to be proactive on my end too. I want my car back!

Still no success on finding the cause of this issue. Is there a chance that this could be something major? My anxiety is getting the best of me haha.

Car has 36,000 miles, no CEL, just limp mode and P1250.

at this point it would help to know what they have definitvely told you it isn't!

i've never had a shop not be able to diagnose a *seemingly*!? simple issue. that would have me in fits.

Thankfully it is not my DD, and GMG has been great thus far.

So far, it is not the following:

Boost Leak
N75 Valve
Wastegates
Catalytic Converters

How did you /others do a boost leak test? or was it a smoke test to 12 psi?
trust me... pressure test to 20 plus psi from the lower boost hoses... must hold 30 seconds... do it...

Right.
Well then you didn't do a pressure test. Smoke Tests usually are low pressure. Do you really want to find the issue or just spend more and more money ?
Let me know.

some shops do not have a boost leak tester made thus they rely on OEM smoke testing which Porsche recommends.. but then again those cars run .7 bar max..

I have a feeling that is the case.

Although, my car is doing this on the stock tune as well. You would think they could find something that large, if it were a boost leak.

Thanks for all your input!

Smoke test vs an actual pressurized test as per the actual "advice" from the expert here are two, although not entirely different, things.

The real head scratcher at this point is GMG!? W t f!
This cannot be complicated. There's not enough stuff that can cause .. Whatever it is.

The car goes into limp mode under boost.. regardless of stock or tuned file. Is that the long and short.. or is there something else missing?

I feel your pain ... But GMG should've had this figured out by now if the cars been there through this thread. By my reckoning anyway. I'd have built a tent outside the shop by now. But then I have a rep lol

That really is all there is to it.

It is quite the mystery. I am sure they are tired of me emailing them about the progress. Hopefully we will know something next week.

It makes me feel a little better about not being able to find it on my own. I had the car in pieces trying to find something.
