New 2 piece splitter for the 996TT
Report out
Sorry for not being around this summer. Life got in the way. Quick summary. I installed the splitter (very easy to do) and love it. It takes less than 3 minutes to install/uninstall the lower piece, which I do every time I put the car on my trailer as my car is low.
I have had the car up over 155MPH on the back straight of Watkins Glen without a worry. My only worry was would it hit any curbing I take, particularly into the "bus stop" at the Glen which I take full on. No issues there either.
Because life got in the way this summer, I cannot honestly say I felt the difference or saw my times go down. I only did 4 track days this summer so most was recurrency driving. Do I believe it helps ... yes? Can I prove it yet, no. Maybe next year when I am at current and at the Glen for an advanced day I will try a few laps with it and a few without it. to see if it affects my times. that's really the only way to prove anything. Feel is mostly BS if it doesn't lower your times.
One other comment. On the look, it is fine, but I will likely cover mine with some carbon fiber tape to make it look a little better. The gloss black is OK, but it doesn't look like a factory quality part with that paint on it.
Would I recommend it. Definitely. Very reasonably priced, well made, easy on/off. What's not to like

^ well either way my criticism was more a failed attempt at humor than it was mention of any fault with your design. on balance, i applaud your efforts and appreciate your acceptance of my apologie(s).
PM me the quote please
Henry's GT2 is badass for sure! When I tear my current spoiler off I'm getting one of these!! Very cool product
It's OK. I am way to old and comfortable in my own skin to take offense to anything. If I didn't like my design no one in the world would ever see it. I only put it out there cause I'm happy with it and some folks do and others don't. I know its not for everyone one. One day I might make something you like that the folks using this piece don't and that's OK to. I hope it doesn't offend the folks that are running my pieces now.
Below is a picture of my front bumper. It has a splitter built in but I was thinking about adding a flat extension similar to what you are making as I will be adding an RSR wing to the rear and would like some additional aero on the front. Basically, all it would need to be is simple flat splitter that could be attached to the bottom of my existing bumper (basically an extension to the existing splitter on my bumper). Attachment to the bottom would be very straight forward since my bumper is perfectly flat on the bottom. If I sent you an outline of the shape of the splitter I would need (maybe traced onto a rolled up sheet of paper), would it be possible for you to make one since you already have the necessary material? What is the material by the way, something that is not too brittle I take it? How would you recommend the splitter be attached? Are you using some type of Dzus fasteners for quick removal? Thanks Joe!

Thank you,

Joe Toth FTW! Have 3 sets of dive planes (2 small 1 big) Had 4 but let a friend borrow them and haven't seen them since. These are a huge addition to front DF. Hard to conceive why they work so well. Don't have the front splitter (yet) because mine is already attached to a cup under tray. An awesome solution though. What many of us were looking for for years..... Might switch once track season is over.

It's a modified ebay RUF knockoff splitter. I've despised the side winglet things for years.
