93 Octane tune,, with 102 Octane petrol

Hello everyone

Regarding my movement to Germany, i thought I must retune my ECU because they use here 95 and 102.

Tuner said i can keep the old tune.
So is that Normal? Driving with 93 octane map on 102 Octane?

Waiting to hear from experts

Best regards

In the US we use RON+MON (Motor Octane Number) /2. Or (RON+MON)/2. MON octane is about 10 points lower than RON. So German 102 octane is equivalent to about US 97 octane and German 95 is about US 91. You will be fine with your old tune...
