The time has come, CLUTCH!
Dear fellow turbo owners,
My clutch is not slipping, but seems to be original, with 58K miles on it, so time prepare.
Please suggest what are the best clutch options for the reasonable money?
I think I'd prefer to go single mass flywheel and probably OEM, or similar to OEM pedal stiffness.
Perhaps someone has good used flywheel from upgrading to stage 3/4/5+ clutches?
Link to good supplier is also appreciated.
So far I found OEM German made kit for $728 on eBay, this is about it.

a properly driven car with no obvious abuse to the clutch *should* last you another 100k miles. at least. there a lot more things i'm sure you can replace that would improve the car, if you are going to begin throwing parts at it, as we al all known to do
but the car is "broken in" at 30 k miles
and you have a 58k clutch! just failing to see the problem here lol.
why not just give it a 90k service ( plugs/coils/coolant/brake fluid etc etc )

Anyways, I will be lowering assembly soon, so why not address the clutch.
Lastly, this thread is not for discussing my personal decisions, but to help me locate best parts at a reasonable rate.
I do not like how it grabs toward the top and I have suspicion that auto transporters might have overheated it, when they loaded car from Miami, I was not there...

of course it is lol it's an open forum and "your personal decisions" are fair game.
but you "think"? they overheated it loading onto a truck so you think you should replace the clutch? lol ok sure. have at it.
btw. responses may not be to your liking. so suck it up..lol. and have a nice day
I 2nd the thoughts of above.
Slipping the clutch at low speed onto a transporter is not going to burn out the clutch. The clutch can take that abuse with ease (if it even happened).
That said, if you must. Are you planning to make more power? Or is this just preventative for longevity, sorta 'while you're in there'?
You can just change the major wear components if all is working well and there's no signs of abuse to the flywheel or pressure plate. Slap in a new disc and release bearing and call it a day.

I'm currently dropping my tranny to change a slipping clutch. In my search for parts, Gaudin Porsche seems to have great pricing - http://www.gaudinporscheparts.com/pa...section=CLUTCH

Do you have part number, or link to your clutch set?
And while you are at it, GT-2 slave conversion too will keep you from bleeding later.

in fact, in two cars, i've never had a clutch issue but was about to! my plates had zero material left when i went into the trans. but never did it slip
some folks have had stalling issues until they get used to the lwfw i am told. but this is anecdotal, as i haven't done the lwfw as i've added enough NVH to my car as it is lol. though i'm sure i would love the faster revving. everything is a trade off i suppose.
