Roughly how many miles are OEM clutches lasting in cars with good drivers that are running OEM to Stage 3 mods? (I realize that Stage 4 and up cars should have a performance clutch).

I guess the 12 people that viewed this thread must own GT2's instead of TT's.

 

Stage 2 GIAC with almost 23,000 on the OEM clutch (~6000 on the Stage 2).

 

14K - but if I hole shot it hard it will slip....

 

Close to 23K with mods and no clutch problems yet. I don't do a lot of drop the clutch and stomp on it starts however. I usually get it rolling if first and then nail it.....

Anyone out there with higher mileage cars (say, 40k and up) on stock clutches? Just trying to get an idea how far mine will go if I decide to stick with it vice changing it with a aftermarket one. I'm at 15k now.

Divex, i've got a question. How long did the clutches in your SMG cars last? Does anyone upgrade them?

 

They last as long if not longer than the ones in the standard 6-MT cars do, since SMG is a better shifter than most people are (if not all).

I upgraded mine to a Sachs performance with lightweight flywheel before I went with the supercharger. It's holding up perfectly.
