FWIW I've run 2.0 bar on a 3076 and it worked well at this level (different car). I'm jealous of you guys though. My car is slow with stock K16s

no its not bad at all. not if the rest of the car is set up nicely. heads. straight pipes. no intake restriction whats so ever (key for 35Rs).

I have pushed my 30-76's up to 31psi (2.14 bar) and they usually stopped making power past that.

I had 3076 (non billet / non alphas) on 3.8L - Todd K said - do the 3586s / E85 on the larger A/R - he said the smaller A/r it is pointless to step up.

I did it - like markski said never looked bac (well my car has been down too ) so havent really looked forward either .. but even on low boost 3586 billets felt just as non laggy as the off the shelf 3076s( .63 AR too)

your hta3586 were .82 or .63?

I think he implied .82 as the .63 tend to choke top end power but do spool quicker at least on other cars. I am new to 996TT world

HTA 3586 (Billet) .82
3076R (Cast) .63

Todd K - said if you are stepping up to the big boy territory do the 35s w/ larger hot side.

Also - HTA 3586
even from FPs web site "This turbo is available with a variety of turbine housings, but using anything smaller than a .82 is stupid."
