9ff 997 TURBO ?

hi guys i saw a 9ff add in excellence magazine where it featured a 997 TURBO WITH 840 BHP , 880 NM
0-300 km/h in 17.4 seconds only
have anybody test drove this car or had a ride in it , from what i heard its really fast , i know one of 9ff broke the record on high speed shootout but it was based on 996tt this car is based on 997 body .
my car is about the same hp built by evoms , i dont believe i could do 0-300 km/h in 17 s i think it should do around 20 s or more
i was just curious how could they achieve that kind of performance ?
so guys if you have more info about the car plz reply i'm intrested of knowing more about this yellow beast

I've driven the Ruf RT12 650.

Have no 0-300 figure, but a 0-200 km/h. Is there a 9ff figure to compare? Or yours?

What engine are they using? 996TT och 997? 3.8lit?

the 9ff will never hit 300km/h in less then 20s.
a few month ago auto motor sport did a nardo test with a 996 based gt2 from 9ff. the car had a 4l engine, 843hp and 910nm.

0-100: 4.3s
0-200: 10.4s
0-300: 25.2s

so why should a 997based car with nearly the same hp be ~8s faster up to 300?

if i remember correct, the new bugatti veyron needs about 17s up to 300km/h. but this car has complete sophisticated aerodynamics and more power...

erik, what are the acceleration figures for the ruf rt12? please let me know ;-)

they use the same engine as most tuners. it is the base from the 996turbo or gt2. the new 3.8l engine from the 997 is a complete different engine as for example the 3.8l engine of the ruf rt12, which is also based on the old 996 turbo engine but with slightley larger displacement. that is the same with the 4l 9ff engine, also based on the old 996 turbo...

what other figures are you interested in?

Yes and you have a pm.

I agree Manthey and Ruf are my favourites as well.
In my world Manthey is more race, and Ruf more street but I have yet to drive a Manthey.

my fave tuner/manufacturer conversions as well. the 9ff cars are an amazing achievement in what numbers they can produce. i also like the psi motorsport rts-4 based on gt2. an rt12 in black or white would be awesome, as would the manthey m700. i am interested in seeing what the rt12 will do, altho, at that point, it is so fast enough, that numbers aren't very consequential. for the rt12, the reliability, harmony, seamlessness, and sophistication of such a complete and thoroughly-bred package is more important to me than just acceleration numbers. plus you know it already has to run low 11's at least, and 0-60 in low 3's, 0-124 in around 9-11 seconds, which is crazy fast in itself. but nonetheless i am still curious to see what a 3.8 tt with "650" hp will do
