I dont' care about getting in and out, its the part about while sitting in them... I am young, I can still pull myself in and out.

Evan,

I just put the GT3 seats in my car. I am 6'4" and weigh about 215lbs. I would say that my size would be the upper limit as far as comfort goes. So far I find the seats comfortable, but that is after only 30 miles. The real test will be when it is time for the TOD trip. The seating position is upright, but not uncomfortable at all.

If you feel like going for a ride you are welcome to come check them out.

Thanks man, 125 miles is a bit far for me to drive to try out some GT3's . I do appreciate the offer tho and wish you were closer as that would be the best thing for me... Hum, let me know if you are coming east at somepoint maybe I could meet up with ya....
Regards,
Evan

125 miles too far to try out $2400 seats???

Come on Evan, You need some extended mileage work outs under your belt before you have the real long drive up to TOD...Besides, I drove 240 miles to see Hani just for a Pain in the **** rollbar...

Yes, but I am racking up WAAAAAYYYY too many miles on the TT...I have over 5,000 miles in 3 1/2 months...not to mention the 2000+ after N.C.
Evan

Makes sence to me, I would wait for Duanes too if you are not pressed for time.

I will shoot you an email next time I am in the area, perhaps we will be able to meet up. Likewise should you find yourself in my neck of the woods.

Regards...

The bar is in the car, but unattached. I am buying some ratchet type tie down straps today when I am off work to squeeze it a bit and I was emailed @ home from Loren @ renntech on how to remove the seat belt slide adjusters. So hopefully that coupled with some more physical effort will be all that is required to finish it tonight.

I'm still a bit sore from wrestling the thing yesterday..

Mmmmmmm......

In my GT2 Clubsport, I drove from London to the Nurburgring, drove 150 miles round the 'ring, then next day drove back stopping off at Spa on the way for a few laps.

I'm 6 foot and 230lbs, my passenger is 6 foot 4 and 280lbs. We were both very comfortable indeed (much more so than when we did the same trip in June in my 993RS)........

For the track, I think they'd be decent. (Then again, something designed specifically for racing would be better...)

For the street, I don't think I'd care for them. No adjustability, not much lumbar support. They don't fold forward. I think the would be a PITA for a mostly street driven car...

Disclaimer: This is based on 2 minutes sitting in a set of GT3 seats...

For lumbar support, I plan to getting a pnumatic number pad from Sparco and fit it behind the leather...they also have some kidney side support which would be nice for those with back needs.

Evan, you're young and not a big fella...These seats sound like a glove fit for you!
