why someone keeps stealing my valve caps

Is it some alien conspiracy or is it just shiny things attract the dim of mind but why oh why do my valve caps keep disappearing?
Is it just me or is this a common occurrence?
They are not high value items but just the same it ticks me off. Every time I replace them some thieving low life knocks them off

Perhaps try a set that have the anti-theft allen screw in the side?

I had this happen years back , turns out it was kids waiting at a bus stop a couple of houses down and they kept nabbing my then Audi valve caps. I ended up getting the cheap plastic green ones and kept them on there instead and problem went away.
I've always worried about the secured ones and some disparate person forcing the cap off and ruining the stem . That would suck

Check your neighborhood kids' BMX bikes. This used to happen to me all the time...until I notice all the kids' BMX bikes with shiny new Audi caps on them LOL.

People at the mall-bars etc use to steal the trim rings and caps off my rally wheels on my vettes also vanity plates with corvette on front. Came out at Christmas one year and found guys getting ready to jack it up and take wheels and all lol.

Kids are putting them on their bikes, we all did it lol. You're just donating back the set you took 30 years (ish) ago

I try to remember to take mine off when I know I'm going to park on the street somewhere. Ridiculous... just had to buy a new set a couple weeks ago. Only half of mine were stolen. lol
