Radar

I run both a v1 and I have the passport/escort 9500 ci installed in the car with laser jammers. I don't fool around.

V1 has saved me a hundred times. Reliable. Affordable. Works every time. Common sense is the best way to avoid trouble.
These guys will empty your wallet quickly lol!

Beware:

Many, if not all, "radar test sites" make money SELLING DETECTORS or selling links. Valentine will not play that game. Some of these test sites used to not even test V1s. I am circumspect of most of the test results. (Radartest.com front page is nothing but a sales page- couldnt find the 'test' part...)

Having said that, over the years to competition has improved based on some of the testing Ive been able to evaluate where bias seems to have been removed. I am still a V1 owner.. I like to know if targets are in front or behind- and with the bluetooth link to an iphone app, I can get quite a bit of info displayed (as well as fine tune the detector to ignore certain bands based on where I am and local LEOs frequency of choice,

FEDERAL law prohibits radar jamming. There is no commercial radar jammer.

Laser jammers are regulated by state law.

No, radar detector is a listening device, but two jammer transmitting could cause out of band interference.

Actually they can. A detector uses a comparator circuit and actually generates a reference 'radar' frequency internally- a poorly shielded unit can 'self alert' due to leakage, and can also false second units.

My V1 sees crappy detectors all the time.

V1 is great. Have no first hand experience with jammers.

I know it it is hard to find with all those buttons that say "TEST RESULTS" But here let me link a page for you.

The V1 is a well made detector that has good range and the rear faceing sensor... The big issue I have with it is it false alerts you to the point you start to ignore it! And they fail to work properly after being baked in the window of a parked car all to often. Not temp safety shut own and no self test feature to say Hey I am broken!

Yes even well shielded detectors have issues with other detectors in really close proximity.

the only time i ever see false reports are in a big town with lots of infra red door openers. not really speeding there anyway. on the open road it rarely has a false reading and as i get closer to the larger towns i need only turn down the sensitivity a bit and all is good

just my findings. have had v1 for over 10 yrs not a single ticket
