can you guys provide parts - numbers for gt2 conversion? I'm going to look into it, screw this poor design crap, do it ones and do it right. I can buy used 996 with acc for very good price, just so it gets me through winter- and change it to gt2 if it fails again, which I know it will. --

I found one here, let me know guys if the price is right : http://www.evoms.com/EVOMS_GT2_Clutc...clugt2slck.htm

What's the cost for parts+labor on both options?

I was out of town for 2 weeks. When I got back into the 996 my clutch pedal was so stiff it wouldn't move more than a few inches. I'm assuming this will keep getting worse until it leaves me stranded?

It was $600 exactly for what I listed above. There will be some fluids to replace in there as well. For labour - that totally depends on who does it. I would expect 6 hours from someone who knows what they are doing. (Longer or shorter if they don't)

local indy shop in IL wants to charge 6 hours, 125 per hour. I never left my car for several weeks so i cannot tell, but i think when slave goes bad, its building pressure overtime, thats why. Maybe I'm wrong.

So I purchased slave and acc, cheap from 32krazy! IT be temp fix, when that one fails- I'm going with gt2 - by the way Do i need bleeder to - bleed out the clutch, Ill try to bleed my clutch first. I can get assistance to help me to press the clutch pedal. while I'm laying on my back---to play with bleeder

So procedure goes like this? you pump the clutch few times, hold it, and you release the valve, on slave. and repeat 20 times probably?.... - or if you have power bleeder you dont have to pump the clutch?

Also now I remember when I posted something on here about the leak--- I still have picture: Name: MLI8Pyp.jpg

Size: 17.6 KB I thought it was leaking from that bolt, or axle/seal but i think it was from slave. It stopped. It got dry, i never bothered, after changing the clutch to aftermarket one, it started to **** me off with the take-offs- where clutch is soft when car warms up and grabs up top, I drove many cars and owned cars with aftermarket clutch. everything else seems fine and i dont see any leaks from reservoir or level changing...
