That's the funniest post in a long time "dealer won't budge" - How about dealer is an idiot and will have that car for 25 years - Tell him we all here say congrats on his new TT
Can you please tell us the name of this idiot dealer?
That car is worth $80k -
Doug is 100% correct - buy an 04 TT cab for $110k - prob less

That is exactly what I told him. I said I will call him back in January so he remembers to wipe the dust off of it. Such a shame, that is THE car I am looking for. The dealer is Porsche of Roslyn which is on Long Island, NY.

Lets not provide him the wrong guidance on the car. They are asking to high of a price for that car.
It is not worth $80K, that is off the mark as well.
02's with those options and the extended Porsche warranty should bring $90K-$95K. Very hard to find a car with the options you want & that car has evertyhing on it. My guess is that it was $140K+ brand new.
The x50 always brings the car up $5K, however with an EVO flash you get more bang for less $$ so it is hard for many of us to justify.
A good offer on that car is in the low to mid $90's. Someone will buy it..

That is also what I told him. I said $95k right now and he thought I was joking. His quote was " Come back with a reasonable offer and maybe we can do business". So if I don't find anything I like over the next couple of months, I will just check their website periodically and see if they still have it. I think 80k is too low as well. $95-98k I would pay, no more.

Griza, is this the silver tt that they have in the showroom? I went there a month ago for some reason I forget. I think he was asking even more than that at the time. It's a Beautiful car even if I don't like silver. I HATE Silver Star though. The attitude of the guys there make me laugh. Such slight condescension that you'd think they're the ones who are buying these cars. I didn't buy my car from them, but pop in once or twice a year for the eye candy. Keep it moving and keep looking. One beauty of these cars being "overproduced" is you never have to look very far for a nice example at a decent price. If I ever were to buy a used tt (and might for a daily, don't know yet) this board's "for sale" would be my first stop. Good luck.
Bayarea- I told them how much I will pay, if they want to take me up on it, I am here
hnyc- The car is Guards Red and it is at Porsche of Rosyln. I am not sure if they also go by the name Silver Star.
Jaime- Do you have any bigger smilies? That price is a joke.
Ted- Pm'ed you back
