m680 replacement question

Has anyone replaced the M680? I replaced the unit with a clarion but I'm still not getting any sound. Can't figure out why as the radio has power as does the amp. Things seem wired correctly, which leads me to believe it has to do with the dsp. Has anyone run into this? I don't want to use the dsp anymore but can't seem to around it and I'm not sure how to use it with this system even if I wanted too.

Thoughts?

I've read you cannot separate the DSP or audio won't work

Yeesh, remove the PCM1 and my entire speaker system seems to be toast. Can't use the amp, can't not use the amp... Sigh.
