Tire size question

I have been running on 19" rims/tires for quite some time now. I've purchased 18"hollow spoke rims to run at the track to give me a few more tire options.
18x8 +50
18x11 +45

I spoke with John Berget at JBR & would like to run Hoosier slicks. We were discussing the tire height.
I have two questions:
1. Any ideas on the tire size that I should run.
2. Should the height of the tires be the same front/rear to avoid gear differential issues.
Thanks Todd

Hoosiers in a 240/640-18 and 305-645-18. Same diameters...

You're welcome. Glad to help... Make sure your shop dry mounts them or uses hairspray. Do not under any circumstance let them use any kind of mounting paste.
