Short Shifter

i've installed either the B&M or the Porsche short shifter in my Pcars but was curious about the under-the-car short shifter...

what are the advantages or disadvantages of the under the car one???

An advantage of the under car one is that it has 3 settings so that you can adjust the amount of throw reduction. I believe the max is equivalent to what the B&M or Porsche SSK will give you. I do not know how difficult it is to install but it cannot be that hard though of course you have to get under the car to do it.

Frank:
I have the undercar TechArt SSK.
Advantages: It is 3-way adjustable to fit your style.
It doesn't mess up the shifter internals, so you can go back to original if unhappy.
It is extremely easy to install, if you have a lift.

I have the RUF undercar unit, it's the same as Tech-Art. I agree it installs in a few minutes and you can go back to stock easily if you want. I like the option of having different throw reduction %'s. I did not really notice much additional effort required to shift and the notchiness is minimal. For me it's perfect.

From what I've been able to tell the undercar RUF, Techart, 9FF, and B&M are identical except for color. The undercar B&M is less than $200.

I have the EVO shifter. It replaces all the plastic bits in the shifter with metal parts. Throw is shorter and the feel is much improved.
