Hi, Interesting,, did you put new plugs in when you did the coil swap?
Also if I may ask,, Did you just think it would be a good mod to do that?

No... Condensed story - I had a coil problem that took quite a while to figure out. Hesitation during pedal movement - it was driving me nuts. One day it happened and I was so pissed, I floored it and finally got a code telling me what cylinder. I replaced the coil with a 997 version and everything was great. I had put new plugs in initially trying to fix the hesitation.

Afterwards, I saw an ad for the BBI coils and did some research. They were actually made by Plasma-Direct. I had those coils ($1,200) on my G35 and never had a problem, so I bought during a group buy for a preferred price. Extremely well made with considerable technology behind them.

 

^ best price I've seen from bbi was 899? iirc. i "almost" got em then but then the bosch were like 55 from my bud and he brings em over. that made that particular days decision for me lol.

they are still on a "hmmm" list for me though.
