Pccb (pic) Nightmare
They are fit for the skip I'm afraid. Happened to my front PCCBs twice and now my rear PCCBs. The outer inch surface of my rears is now virtually missing:
I switched to the front 350mm GT3 steel discs a while ago as they are a straight swap and ran PCCB rears still (as do several cars in the UK). However the rears will still eventually go. Problem with GT3 discs, even Cup or Motorsport is they crack between the holes fairly quickly.
Brembo and Alcon make replacement front discs and Alcon are now producing rear replacments in 350mm as well. The first set of Alcon rears arrive in a few weeks. Both are full floating discs, which after initial purchase can have the rotor only replaced using existing bells to save on costs.
More info here (to save me re-typing it all):

Boris,
i know u have good relationship with dealer why not get them to look at it first. if Porsche warranty the rotors u'll be getting Gen II PCCB discs. then u'll have new PCCB when resale. just a thought.

Arling, good idea why not get repacements if possible. For some reason I have a feeling it will be a hard sale.
Question for you, Are second generation pccb's available for the GT2/3's? I was told the only 2nd gen was for turbos and 997's.

i went to my local dealer and asked about new rotor
under warranty, they ran the vin and said that
the car originaly did not have pccb from the factory
so the factory warranty does not apply.
next i called pna and registerde a complaint
they said they will look in to it and repeated
about 10 times during the conversation that
rotors are not a warranty item.
will see what happends.

Thats exactly what I said, sorry Borris
arling you are correct the Porsche parts do have a 2 year warranty but not sure about the "stipulations" to how the parts are installed. Factory replacement part to correct models etc..
hard Sell!!!!
A HAH HAH HAH HAH.....MY big peeve with PCNA, actually Porsche AG! They're NOT giving a millemeter on this!
We know this has been an ongoing issue that P.A.G. isn't addressing.
Actually, it really is focused on cars that do weekend track events.
EVEN with the "green" pads, rotor lfe is GREATLY shortened.
When driving on street they seem to last (big deal)
I tell ALL my clients (now) to simply convert BEFORE destroying these "mantle pieces".
You know that the "997 cups" will be sold in US WITHOUT the "BigCrappyCruddyBrakes". Guess they're not too concerned about the "significant" weight increase in the corners. Couldn't be that "cup" guys would freak out every time they bought rotors, I mean every three minutes of run time!
Anyway-I think 6 Speed should post IN BIG NOTICE signs that this is a problem to address before going to track, NOT AFTER.

AND, Super/Carrera 997 "cups" get a "deal" on the rotor pricing.
AND, 997 cup cars better have mechanics intimately familiar with sequential gearbox service AND drivers who know how to shift it; lotta mo' money in maintenace over the 996 cup.
bottom line-PCCB is not for consistancy in racing.
