I'm not saying they will ever be worth 100k or future equivalent but they are a great car and the first water cooled tt that will be recognized as important at some point. The fact that so many are abused in Honda like manner only adds to the value of a complete car in the future.

if you can keep 'em keep 'em - for example if you ever need to go back to stock or selling the car or anyhting that happens I donno, car gets totalled - you can put stock parts back on - and sell aftermarket parts and get some cash back. I always keep all my stock parts

it depends on how deep you go with the mods. for me all the fuel lines, petosin lines for the slave fuel pump rails, yada yada came out of the car. no way any of that ever goes back in. so i sold everything that wasn't nailed to the car due to the mods all working together as a package. didn't get rich but made some mod money back.

if your just doing a few boltons maybe keep them. I'm so far down the rabbit hole this car will never see stock form again. yahoo!!!!

don't waste any time on hard pipes. had them they suck. run the filters off the turbos or behind the i/c in the space between the i/c and body. once you tear the fuel system out its unlikely any oem stuff is worth keeping. i ran an-8 lines, walbro in the tank, magna fuel under the car, 3 weldon filters, weldon for and a set of undercover billet fuel rails with 1300 cc id inj. once you run all the new lines for the sensors for the proof it gets even harder to return to stock. i have no intention of selling always better off to total the car and buy it back for the mod parts!

Keep them to put back on the car when trying to sell it in the future.

People pay more money for stock unmodified cars vs a car someone has put aftermarket parts on.

A lot of people are almost offended at this concept. "Over $20k invested in tasteful upgrades." ...guess what...that doesn't increase you car's value.

Yea once the fuel parts go on....they won't be coming off. At least not in my possession. I was going to run a surge tank w/2 ext. 044s and all -8AN lines, -6AN returns. I figured with E85 and 2150cc....this should be good for 1200hp...not that I'll ever be there, but I only want to do it once.

As long as the mods are done right....someone out there should appreciate it. And I know you never get what you put in for mods as far as recouping any costs and I'm ok with that. But what am I talking about!!...I don't plan on selling. LOL.

Just say no to twin 044 pumps. Use a walbro in the tank and additional external pump or a huge external like a Weldon 2345. The proefi can control it in any configuration. An 8 all around and order a proefi e85 analyzer to go online on the return line. You also need a second drivers fuel rail and external for. I have a rail as I went u/p billet rails

I sold off most of my stock items that were taken off for upgrades,
except for the heated seats. Not sure to keep them or not.

I added it up and I sold $12k of old stuff off of my car. And I'm not counting my old turbos and ECU that I have a deposit on still waiting to be shipped.

I can totally see a car such as pwdrhounds as not being worth the hassle of keeping original parts but most cars are not so modded and single purpose. If you look back at old tts no one wants the performance add ons of the day unless its a big tuner car or noted race car= now take a nice original well kept car that's another story. And yes I'm sure someone will pull an example out of their butt to prove otherwise but its true for the most part. I know most people could care less and enjoy the mods as I have also over the years but some times I get a little sad when I see so many of these great cars changed so drastically lol.
