Build thread because why not

Based from spec and then a little more added based on the above average boost application. I have a 997 turbo i'm building next IF this one survives.

Some more goodies arrived today, turbos arrive tomorrow. Motor is fully assembled and should start wiring it up this weekend. Fighting the flu right now so not much gonna happen all week...

These are 7163's with the .8AR IG if I recall correctly (don't quote the AR size, ill look when im healthy)

I'm excited to see what it does too, increasing compression ratio for a primarily e85 car does wonders for the 4 banger world. I will be putting an identical set of turbos on my 997 turbo stock motor so will have data for stock vs 10:1 on the same dyno, same load etc.

Doing it in stages, will put them on stock manifolds, I machined an adapter to clamp the vband to 3 bolt flange. Then, will build my own manifolds from 1.5" sched 10. I have a 4wd dyno in my "mancave" so lots of before after stuff will be made available.

This is what got me interested
And even with the .63 AR:
Now consider the alpha30 turbo is even smaller AR. I'll take the earlier spool and bigger power thanks...

Should probably note that the last test was a gt3076r (not x), spool times are identical between the 2, more data here.

Going with a larger throttle body 82mm, decided to just cnc my IPD plenum instead of fabbing a new one from scratch, happy with end result, ill do a little hand porting to finish it off properly. Next are fuel rails, waiting on a 4th axis trunnion table to show up as it would require too many fixtures to make them on only 3 axis.
