i've been beating the living crap out of my FORGE ( lol ) star wheels now under some incredibly demanding conditions for several years. even bending one while smashing into a post storm boulder and having it re-trued successfully. at 1500 a set?! custom fitment! they are some of the best bang for buck wheel that can be had for the car. say what anyone will. are they fikse/hre/champs or a true forged wheel? no, of course not. there is an issue with the lugs but there is a simple workaround by going to tuner lugs as i finally figured out. seemed i was on my own onTHAT issue but i got it nailed and NO issues since. no, they're not hub centric yadda yadda, but it hasn't mattered at all. the spacer is inside the hub, and NOT inside as a normal spacer is used to alter offset.

but disdaining them, for simply being what they are ( a great wheel for the car and the money ) is merely circular elitism. pure and simple lol

Thanks for a good laugh... Great illustration of your point. I wonder how many wheels they would sell if they called the company Caststar?
I'm sure most people who buy their wheels know they are not forged but the name definitely is a marketing tool that is intended to mislead.

what!?! i just ordered from caststar! should i be concerned?! lol

everyone of us needs good wheels and not as many need 5k$ wheels.. esp on a now 30(?!) k car. if they come with hre's? well thats just lucky. i agree though there's not too many that don't FULLY research EVERY thing they themselves buy for this car. i know i do. perhaps obsess, might be a better descriptive.

but i sure remember researching the forgestar purchase and it has proven highly cost effective and indeed a decent choice, in my estimation. caststar!!.. love it ha..

i guess theres no misleading from porsche on the hugely expensive carbon fiber option from them. not even real. c/f wrap just like the massively expensive maCARBON products. simple wraps but meant to mislead folks into thinking its real c/f
