911tuning experience
911tuning experience
I purchased my 01 TT approx. 3 months ago. My knowledge of these cars was limited. I found the car I liked and purchased it and flew to N.C. and drove it home. Lots of fun.. Car seemed perfect and fast to me. Then after I learned how to use gauges properly I saw the car was sometimes pulling 1.4 bar. Not rite ! So after talking to a handful of tuners and mechanics ( whom some of were all about the money). I finally then spoke to Mark at 911tuning. There was something different about him, he really seemed to care . That being said I brought the car to him. Instantly I was amazed at his knowledge of these cars and his ability to figure out problems. immediately found about 4 boost leaks, a dirty MAF sensor and the tune that was in the car was CRAP....Retuned the car, cleaned MAF sensor, fixed boost leakes and instructed me on what else I could do on my own to help save $$$$. Plugs, coils, fuel filter etc. So with a friend on 6speed who came over and helped me tackle the project(ok he did most of it) it was done. The thing that stood out the most to me is that Mark(911 tuning) took the time to explain everthing that was being done and why things were doing what they were. Not only did I get the best tune out there but I also was taught a lot about these cars. Bottom line is you cant do better than 911 tuning. After deal with Mark I would go no where else. Was all done at a More than fair price. And best of all this car is amazingly more responsive and faster than sh*t compared to when I got it. Thanks again Mark ! Customer for life.
thanks for the kind words... its was a little challenging bit we figured it out
Even though your car was super clean with very low miles, it did have major boost leaks and one was at the n75 valve which was causing some drama, the O ring on the TB was bad too.... and the tune was way off... someone was keeping it pegged at .73 lambda on boost in the mid range... things that make you go hmmm..
I strongly recommend data logs to make sure the cars run right... boost leak tests should be as religious as blood tests at the doctors once a year...
